Background:
Nigeria ranks 168th globally in access to ear and hearing care. Preventable hearing impairment affects millions in underserved areas due to poor awareness, delayed identification, and lack of rehabilitation.

During WHD 2024, eHealth360, a social enterprise, launched SAUTI 1.0, leveraging Patent Medicine Stores (PMS) and tertiary institutions for early identification and intervention. A total of 7,122 individuals were screened using the hearWHO app in Kano. Building on this success, SAUTI 2.0 aims to screen 15,000 people.

Activities:

1. Screen 15,000 individuals across 10 communities using the hearWHO app.

2. Train 50 PMS vendors on hearing care.

3. Engage 5 colleges for awareness campaigns.

4. Advocate for the policy integration of hearing care at the community level.

Impact:
1. Early Identification: Empower 15,000 people to self-monitor and detect hearing impairments.

2. Timely Intervention: Provide rehabilitation for 2,000 individuals.

3. Awareness: Educate 5,000 students on hearing health.
