Objective
To promote the importance of ear and hearing care among disadvantaged rural populations, policymakers, and healthcare professionals, aligning with the World Hearing Day 2025 as Approximately 9.6% of the total population experiencing disabling hearing loss mostly in rural Bangladesh.
Proposed Activities
1. Community Awareness Campaigns: Host workshop and organize awareness rally for rural communities on hearing health, prevention of hearing loss, and the importance of early diagnosis and treatment.
2. Policy Dialogue: Engage local policymakers and healthcare providers in a seminar to discuss integrating ear and hearing care into community health programs.
3. Resource Distribution: Translate and disseminate WHO-provided materials to ensure accessibility for rural populations.
Expected Outcomes
• 300+ individuals educated on hearing health.
• Increased local advocacy for hearing care inclusion in health services.
• Greater community awareness of the impact of hearing loss.
