‘Hearing Protection in Hazardous Environments’ is an educational initiative aimed at raising awareness of hearing protection during military operations, especially in high-risk areas. The event will include an expert-led lecture on the impact of explosions and high-decibel sound on hearing health, practical demonstrations of protective equipment (e.g. earplugs) and advice on soundproofing shelters. The focus will be on inclusivity, ensuring accessibility for people with disabilities through adapted materials and support. The event will also include a psychological support session that will offer strategies to cope with noise-related stress. Participants will gain knowledge and tools to protect their hearing in times of crisis. Targeting community members in frontline regions, this initiative addresses a critical but often overlooked health issue by empowering people to protect their hearing and overall well-being.
