Event Description:
District RYK is in the south of the country and a low performing district with poor infrastructure, scarce health facilities, low literacy rate and prone to climate vulnerability, as struck by floods and drought in the past few years that has badly affected the agriculture and livelihood. PIRS has planned to conduct hearing screening as part of the WHD 2025, in collaboration with a partner organization Human Development Foundation. A team will visit RYK and screen about 1000 school children, those in need of any medical or surgical treatment will be referred to the district hospital. A health education awareness session will be conducted for school children.
