Outline of the event:
Two category of events are being planned: 2. Screening camps: Hearing screening camps will be conducted for the population across age ranges:
1. Awareness walk: Around 250 students and faculty members from the Departments of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology and ENT, SRM Medical College and Research Center will be participating in the world hearing day awareness walk 2023. Theme based T-shirts, holding of flyers, billboards, signage with theme-based slogans and distribution of pamphlets regarding ear and hearing care to the general public (1000 numbers approximately) will be carried out. This walk will cover a distance of 5km within the university premises, permitting us to reach out to the general public, students, and visitors to the university.
a. For newborns and pediatric population visiting a primary health center.
b. For students and faculties of SRMIST.
c. For geriatric population at senior citizen living communities.
