The Master program in Auditory Processing Disorder run by Professor ILIADOU is organising a workshop with the title:Protecting you hearing will have a plus on your cognition & mental health. Dr Dalia Tsimpida (Psychologist in UK) will make a lecture on preventable hearing loss in children and adults stating the link between good hearing and good cognition and mental health. There will be hands-on demonstration on ear plugs use and the importance of safe listening (WHO info will be used). Dr Ellen Raben Pedersen Professor at Health Informatics and Technology The Maersk Mc-Kinney Moller Institute (Denmark) will make a short intro to user-operated audiometric testing. Dr Christos Sidiras (Denmark) will demonstrate two options of audiometric testing using a Matlab application and attendees will be able to have a go and test their hearing. Earplugs will be distributed to all attendees at the end of the workshop.
