Description: On occasion of World Hearing Day 2023, Dr. SRCISH, Bengaluru conducted awareness programs to Primary Health Care professionals on “Early Identification & Intervention of Hearing Loss”. Delivered an awareness talk on “Ear and Hearing Care for All-Let’s make it a reality” at Kristu Jayanti College, Bengaluru on 3rd March 2023 for duration of 1 hour with demonstration of KARNA. This mannequin was developed by the institute, called the ‘Karna’ a replica of ‘Jouline’ created by Dangerous Decibels headed by Dr Billy Martin measures the levels of music played by one’s personal music system in the ear.The program was well received by the students with many queries on ear and hearing health & music induced hearing loss. We distributed 17 hearing aids of behind-the-ear & receiver-in-the-canal types donated by Sonova Hearing India Pvt Ltd. WHO materials like flyers were used during the activities.
