Title: Orelha e saúde auditiva para todos!
Description: The students of the 2nd year of the Fonoaudiologia course at the FCMSCSP did an extension activity in celebration of World Hearing Day. The action took place from 8 – 11 am with patients from one of the Unified Health System (SUS) hospital who were in the waiting rooms of the Ambulatório do Conde de Lara. During a month, the students of the discipline “Development of Hearing Skills” whom professor Dra. Alessandra Durante is extension activity responsable, prepared themselves for the campaign through theoretical classes, a dense study on the WHO guidelines and a mental map on the subject. In all, 25 students participated in the action, where they were able to talk to around 800 patients in the waiting rooms, questioning them about ear discomforts and guiding them on what to do to improve their health hearing loss, in addition to reinforcing the importance of going to the doctor.
