Learners perform poorly in class not because they are unable to learn. Because of this, FKND Foundation conducts free school screening to identify learners who perform poorly because of hearing loss. Students identified are referred to Government hospitals and clinics for further assessment and management. The management of FKND Foundation is organizing a free Ear screening in Schools within Ashanti Region of Ghana. This free screening would be extended to the members within the communities of Mfensi, Tabre and Abuakwa all in Ashanti Region of Ghana. We are optimistic to raise awareness through a campaign from 1st to 3rd March 2023. We shall organize a grand durbar on the 3rd March 2023 at a common ground at Mfensi to give series of presentations on the topic “Ear and Hearing Care”. We shall extend invitation to about five popular media firms (Radios and television) to celebrate the World Hearing Day.
