Outline of the event:
The Audiology Programme, School of Health Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia planned an international World Hearing Day (WHD) 2023 event after a successful 2022 event. We increased our relationship with Rhazes Telehealth, Rhazes Consultancy Services Sdn Bhd, Malaysia, Department of Pharmacy, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, San Pedro College of Philippines, Philippines, and Excel Genius Special School, Malaysia to achieve the 2023 WHD theme. This initiative aims to increase participants’ understanding of the critical nature of ear and hearing health care, promote awareness of engaging deaf and hard-of-hearing (DHH) primary schoolers in effective learning, and foster future collaboration between Malaysia and Philippines, particularly in hearing health and pharmacy. This event will last two days on March 3. (online launching Ceremony with the theme of Hearing and Medications). Hearing and Education (physical event) on March 15. “Let’s make it a reality” will be the team’s mantra to making WHD 2023 a success.
