Project title: Action and Information Day of the German Association for Hard of Hearing People for Members of the German Bundestag and Citizens of Berlin

Outline of the event:

Time: 16.02.2022 from 08:30 – 11:30 a.m., last session week of German Parliament before World Heraing Day
Place: Berlin-Mitte Paul-Löbe-Haus at the Reichstag building
Participants: DSB-HÖRMOBIL with an information stand and two advisors from the German Hearing Impaired Association and an acoustician.
A representative of a cochlear implant company will also be present. Possibly, hearing impaired people themselves will be involved.
Project goal/task: Raising awareness and informing the German parliamentarians and their health officers about human hearing loss and its influence on the overall situation of those affected, whether infants, adults or senior citizens in all areas of life such as education, work or leisure.
Under the motto of the World Hearing Day 2022 ‘To hear for life, listen with care’, this also includes noise prevention – demonstrating protective measures for “healthy hearing” in children’s and educational institutions, in industrial workplaces, at concert events and in the private sphere.
Implementation: Direct talks on site or appointments for sustainable information days in the parliamentarians’ constituencies.
Demonstration of hearing aids such as cochlear implants and hearing devices at the information stand.
Possibility to do their own hearing test in the hearing mobile with subsequent evaluation by the acoustician.
