Title: Sensaphonics Musicians Hearing Clinic Social Media Campaign

Primary site: AMR – United States of America         Additional site(s): UK, Europe, Brazil

Description:

Sensaphonics is a musicians hearing clinic and in-ear monitor company located in Chicago, Illinois, USA. Since 1985, we have worked with tens of thousands of musicians and music industry professionals to prevent and treat music-induced hearing injury. We also leverage our connections within the music industry to promote awareness about hearing wellness. This year for World Hearing Day, we asked our musician patients to post to their social media accounts about why hearing health matters to them. They also shared quick tips for safe listening strategies. They tagged the WHO and used the associated hastags. Drs. Michael Santucci and Shannon Switzer both published videos on Instagram discussing the safe use of in-ear monitors and high-fidelity hearing protection. Overall, we estimate that 500,000 individuals were reached through our social media campaigns both directly through Sensaphonics and through the musicians who posted on our behalf.
