The activity consisted of the production of an outreach video for the general public, patients, health care providers, young people, educators, etc, which hlights the importance of hearing and hearing care, and is intended to change societal misperceptions and stigmatizing mindsets about hearing loss. It includes a brief introduction to hearing and hearing loss, highlighting its high prevalence and consequences on quality of life, as well as a summary of common misperceptions, and it will be presented by a young deaf woman and cochlear implant user.

The video was launched on March 3 through the platforms of our institutions (CIBERER and CSIC) and is permanently available in our youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZyNTItEmVNQ&t=28s. In addition, it will be used in all the outreach activities in which we participate throughout the year (i.e. Rare Disease Day, Science Week, Science Day).

By the end of April, the video had accumulated more than 1,200 views.
