Title: Keep Listening
Primary site: AMR – United States of America Additional site(s):
Description:
As a continuation of our evergreen Keep Listening prevention campaign, we held an outreach via gaming creators, referencing the BMJ Public Health report that the WHO was involved with citing the greater risk to hearing among the gaming community which numbers 3B players worldwide, of all ages and genders, but particularly as in the US 58 percent of gamers are under age 34 and one in five is younger than age 18. Five gaming creators live-streamed content and information about noise-induced hearing loss, pointing to our website hhf.org/keeplistening as a resource, and they also created stand-alone social media posts and videos on the topic. We also collaborated with Warner Music U on the importance of protecting hearing at concerts such as by using earplugs.
