Description: Department of Otorhinolaryngology in collaboration with the Department of Audiology, School of Rehabilitation and Behavioural Sciences observed World Hearing Day’ 2023 on March 4th with the theme of “Ear and Hearing Care for all! Let’s make it reality” at outpatient unit, AVMC Hospital.On the event of World Hearing Day, guest lecture on “HEARING FOR ALL AT PRIMARY HEALTH CARE LEVEL” was given by Dr. Anand Karthikeyan, M.S (ENT) Associate Professor, Tagore Medical College at Mini Auditorium, AVMC. The talk emphasized the need for training the Primary health care professionals and shifting the ENT and Audiological services to primary health centres to address the community at large and the importance of a team approach between the Audiologist and ENT specialists. Also organised Ear and Hearing care camp on 7th March, 2023 for senior citizens residing at Serene pelican, Puducherry. Total of 129 senior citizens were benefitted from the camp.
