Description:
An awareness programme which constitutes a talk and focus group screening is scheduled to empower primary school teacher, support staffs and related professionals to identify high risk children for hearing loss using red flags planned using interactive sessions by the subject matter specialist in the respective field. This programme helps to achieve the concept of early identification and early intervention.
This programme is planned to conduct in a tier 3 zones where accessibility of subject matter professionals is challenging to deliver standard of care.
A team of four is housed at southern part of Tamilnadu (Athirampattinam) to accomplish the same.
Awareness material, screening checklist, audiology instrumentation, were carried out to implement the goal planned.
