Description:

Kids That Care Club – Uganda Teams up with Local Secondary School with Aggressive Campaign to Reduce Hearing Loss in Children

Kids That Care Club (KTCC) Uganda is a youth empowerment initiative that uses music, dance and the performing arts to promote healthy choices while preserving Uganda’s rich cultural heritage of the arts. KTCC-Uganda’s core mission is to equip youth of all abilities with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate life’s challenges by providing a nurturing environment where they are exposed to new ideas, increase their self-confidence and discover their own potential.
KTCC – reports highly successful World Hearing Day (WHD) school challenge event!
Beginning on February 14, 2026, Kids That Care Club team members introduced a challenge at Alliance Secondary School, located in Kampala, Uganda, to have students produce a project that featured hearing care and early detection to prevent hearing loss. The winning team would be awarded on March 1st in anticipation of World Hearing Day. School administrators were thrilled to have this entirely novel approach to gain awareness about hearing loss in this urban community that struggles with poverty, difficult living arrangements and challenging environments.
The school challenge was highly successful as the different teams came up with various projects depicting the importance of hearing care. The winning project was the skit developed by the team of four students. Thanks to the gracious offer from Salaama Loveworks Church staff, KTCC was given the opportunity to showcase their talents in dance along with the award ceremony on March 1st at Salaama Loveworks Church in Kosovo.
On March 1st, over 500 people merged onto Salaama Loveworks Church to watch the activities that ranged from dance performance, skits, presentations and an award ceremony. Both the school and church administrations praised the unique advocacy and awareness program as a massive success, expressing gratitude for such an uplifting event for their community.
