From 25 February to 3 March 2025, Federación AICE will celebrate Hearing Week, a campaign to promote the importance of hearing health and accessibility. This initiative will start on International Cochlear Implant Day (25 February) and come to an end on World Hearing Day (3 March).
• Illumination: Federación AICE has promoted the illumination in red of emblematic monuments throughout Spain, monuments or frontage such as the Cibeles in Madrid, the City Council of Granada, Zamora or Campoamor Theatre in Oviedo collaborate in this initiative, as well as 20 other cities.
• Material distribution: The campaign includes the distribution of informational posters in cities like León, Murcia, A Coruña, and Gijón, as well as in over 15 other municipalities. These materials, shared in collaboration with local governments and organizations, aim to educate the public about hearing loss and the importance of timely intervention.
• Messages in public transport: The campaign also features awareness messages through transport companies, including advertising spots with Ruiz Group in Madrid, TUSSAM buses in Seville, TMB in Barcelona and both metro and bus networks in Valencia, among others.
• Information stands will be set up to raise awareness about hearing health in several cities in Spain, such as Santander, La Rioja and Seville, bringing the total number of information stands around 15. These stands will serv as direct contact points with citizens, providing guidance, answering questions, and encouraging people to take care of their hearing health.
With all these actions, the Federación AICE will manage to reach more than one million people. This important achievement will mark the organization’s ongoing commitment to making hearing health and accessibility an essential and shared priority in society.
