Description:

The Global Coalition of Parents of Children who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing (GPODHH) is an international collaboration of parent-led groups and parent leaders dedicated to promoting improved systemic protocols and practices which encourage informed choice and the empowerment of families with a deaf or hard-of-hearing child throughout the world. With its 18 Member organizations from around the globe, GPODHH will celebrate, raise awareness, and disseminate resources that will strengthen support for children who are deaf/hard of hearing in the classroom setting.
Events and activities that will be shared leading up to, and on the day of World Hearing Day, include:
-Sharing/Highlighting information and resources that support success in the classroom from our 18 member organizations in several languages – with parents and professionals.
-Creating and utilizing a ‘photo frame’ for social media to highlight World Hearing Day.
-Disseminating information that parents can take to their child’s school to encourage hearing screenings for all children.
