This ear health screening activity is the result of a strategic collaboration between Dr. Soetomo General Hospital and (Rumah Anak Prestasi) RAP, which began with the PPDS ENT community service program initiative in the 2023/2024 academic year. Involving a multidisciplinary team—including ENT specialists, residents, nurses, and RAP staff—this program emphasizes the importance of integrating primary health services into inclusive communities.

Impactful Story:

Children with special needs, including those with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), intellectual disabilities, or other sensory disabilities, have a higher risk of ear health problems than the general child population. Rumah Anak Prestasi (RAP) is an inclusive educational institution in Surabaya that cares for around 50 children with special needs aged 4-12 years, with a focus on behavioral therapy and potential development.
