Project title: World Hearing Day 2024 – Hearing screening and hearing care

Event Description:
The Department of ENT,Head and Neck Surgery, ERRH will conduct hearing screening among the health staffs who are at risk of noise induced hearing loss (NIHL). We have identified noisy work environment at Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD), Hospital Kitchen and Oxygen plant unit. We will assess the noise level at those sites. The staffs will undergo otoscopic ear examination with ENT Surgeon/ENT Technicians followed by Audiological examination by an Audiologist. The screening work will be carried out over the period of 1 week so that the routine hospital functioning is not affected.
We will educate the staffs regarding hearing care and permissible noise exposure limit.
We will also share awareness videos and posters at our clinic regarding ear care, hearing care and informations regarding helping people with hearing loss.
