Outline of the event:

From February 25th, International Cochlear Implant Day, until March 3rd, World Hearing Day, Federacion AICE organizes outreach activities:
– 19 cities will illuminate in red some of their public buildings, such as the famous Cibeles Fountain in the capital, Madrid. – Street stands to provide information and raise awareness and do hearing tests with the HearWHO application in at least 11 towns.
– Politicians meetings in the National Spanish Congress. – Press releases in collaboration with politicians and medical centres from different cities simultaneously. (2 radio stations interviews confirmed)
– 6km race to make hearing loss visible with cochlear implant users running as well as amateur’s runners.
– Workshops in schools for students of different ages about Safe Listening.
– Campaign with posters and videos in public transport (metro, bus, cabs, etc.) and public buildings (town halls, libraries, community centers, etc.) that will reach at least 650,000 people.
