In anticipation of World Hearing Day on 3rd march 2024, the ENT doctors at Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and Research Institute in Pondicherry are spearheading a comprehensive initiative. From February 26th to March 2nd, 2024, a week-long awareness and hearing check-up program will be conducted to specifically address the auditory health needs of policemen, fishermen and nearby industry workers in our college vicinity, recognizing their heightened exposure to sounds. On March 3rd, our commitment transcends traditional medical outreach. We will continue to raise awareness by providing hearing evaluations to the elderly residents of local old-age homes and differently abled students. Simultaneously, we aim to foster a holistic approach to well-being by organizing sports and cultural events tailored for these communities. This multifaceted program seeks to seamlessly blend medical expertise with community engagement, ensuring a harmonious and meaningful celebration of World Hearing Day 2024.
