Outline of the event:
The CI team from the Antwerp University Hospital welcomes ENT doctors, audiologists, teachers, GPs, professionals from rehabilitation centers and (parents from) CI candidates with single sided deafness, on Saturday the 2nd of March to raise awareness about cochlear implantation in single-sided deafness.
Longterm UZA results (20 years) in adult SSD CI recipients, multicentre outcomes in pediatric SSD CI recipients and the new Belgian reimbursement criteria (since January 2024) for CI in pediatric SSD will be discussed during the symposium.
