Outline of the event:
On the World Hearing Day 2024, our researchers invite managers and health professionals from the integrated health and social services centers (CISSS) and the integrated university health and social services centers (CIUSSS) located in Quebec to discover more about hearing and hearing difficulties. They will present scientific evidence to change the perception of hearing problems and improve access to ear and hearing care for seniors living in Quebec. This conference will cover various topics, including the importance of early identification of hearing problems in the elderly, the stigma associated with hearing loss and how to overcome it, the impacts of hearing problems on the person and their caregivers, and the different possible interventions in the event of a hearing loss diagnosis. The Minister of Health will welcome the participants. The event will be hybrid and will have the support of various public, private and community organizations in Quebec.
