Outline of the event:
On March 3 of this year from 12:00 to 18:00 Latvian Medical Student Association and the scientific group of Otolaryngology students of Riga Stradins University will celebrate World Hearing Day by standing in one of Rigas most popular shopping centres and hope to educate and inform the population. As part of it, medical students will examine the ears of interested passers-by with otoscopes and warn about hearing-damaging factors, as well as the Center for Better Hearing will tell about different types of hearing aids that are available.
Students will also will talk about current issues such as the use of q-tips, hearing loss associated with the use of headphones and, in general issues of ear health.
