Outline of the event:
QECH ENT/AUDIOLOGY clinics in Blantyre in Malawi will jointly commemorate the 2024 World hearing day event in conjunction with the following organisations: Malawi Liverpool Welcome Trust and Malawi national association for the deaf. The event will be held in Zomba district at Mulunguzi bording secondary school. The main aims of the event are advocacy, ear and hearing issues awareness company through speeches, hearing screenings and some of the deafkids will show case their skills. The target audience is the secondary school students, teachers and the surrounding community. The district health officer for Zomba district will be the guest of honour. The district education officer for Zomba and seniors from Zomba police victim support team will also be invited. The event will be held on 1st March 2024 because on 3rd March in Malawi it is a public holiday and is a Martyr’s day.
