Outline of the event:
We plan to have an outreach programme in our locality where we will enlighten about hearing loss, and the problems people living with it are facing. We will be giving out free hearing aids to indigent persons who qualify. We will launch a training programme for primary ear care training for Primary Health Care facilities around Local Government Areas in the state. We will start with the three (3) PHC during the week of the WHD. We will launch a hearing loss support group for people with hearing loss and their families. The group name will be “Hear Us”. It will serve as a therapeutic and educational group. It will be both online and physical.
