Outline of the event:
The FKND Foundation will provide free Ear and hearing assessment in three communities namely, Asuofua, Adankwame and Asakraka, all in Ashanti Region of Ghana. Once assessed, students will have access to free referrals for additional comprehensive assessment with established partners, and consultations with the school to make classroom modifications. We shall have 3 days packed activities, starting from 1st to 3rd March 2024. We shall visit 3 schools within the 3 selected communities. On the 3rd, we shall screen the community members and then have a grand durbar. The Grand durbar shall be held on the 3rd March after the community ear screening. We shall have series of presentations by audiologists and other health professionals. The presentations shall be on the theme “Changing Mindsets: Ear & Hearing care for All, let’s make it a reality”. We shall invite radio and television presenters to cover the entire activities.
