Outline of the event:
The event will take place onsite in Yaoundé – Cameroon during 2 days
The objective of the event is to bring together stakeholders from the education , medical, and disability sectors and the community . Two activities are planned :
1/ training session of all stakeholders identified on awareness on hearing loss and relevant communication skills facilitated by hearing impairment experts
The training will focus on early detection of ear loss, healthcare treatment of patient with ear loss, basic communication skills (eg Sign Language) and prevention of ear loss. The session will end on a call for commitments from participants
2/Distribution of WHO awareness material, a call for action and commitment from all stakeholders to address hearing loss
All the activities will be reported (photos, short videos, recording) and posted on our website and social media( X, Facebook, Linkedin)
