Outline of the event:
During the “Semana de la Audición” (Hearing Week) from February 25 to March 3, our association will conduct activities across Cantabria:
– Press conferences at government offices and press releases in local newspaper, including social media campaign.
– Information stands at strategic locations as Plaza Pombo and Marqués de Valdecilla University Hospital (Santander) addressing myths about hearing loss, auditory care, and hearing aids.
– A panel discussion on Speech Therapy and Cochlear Implants, in collaboration with Gimbernat University (Torrelavega).
– Lectures for future communicative mediators, raising awarness about accessible communication.
– Cultural activities for people with hearing loss: Communicatively accessible visit to Botín Center (museum in Santander).
– Workshops for children to educate them on auditory care.
– City hall illumination: Santander, Torrelavega, Castro Urdiales, Potes and Laredo will light up for our special days.
– Santander city transport will spread a video-message about our work in bus screens.
