Outline of the event:
1. Hearing screening and sensitization stations at two medical facilities within campus : Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre and Sri Ramachandra Hospital on 4th and 5th March.
2. Talk by faculty Dr.Vidya Ramkumar at International Association of Logopedics and Phoniatrics (IALP) on International perspectives on changing mindset’s: ear and hearing care
3. An online student discussion on ‘what needs to improve towards knowledge skill and practice of hearing care” – a joint venture with IALP.
4. Sensitization program, open to all healthcare providers in the campus on basic ear and hearing care by Dr.S.Jayashree, HOD, Audiology and Dr. J. Sathish Kumar, Associate Professor, Department of ENT.
5. Hearing screening program for employees at a Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) facility in collaboration with the National Service scheme of Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research.
6. Public awareness through digital displays, social media handles of the institute and handouts.
