Description:

Empowering Families: Raising Awareness for the Rights of Children with Hearing Impairments” was an event hosted in Lusaka, Zambia, designed to inform and empower families in underserved communities. Bringing together community leaders, healthcare professionals, and parents, the event addressed the challenges faced by children with hearing impairments. Through interactive workshops, educational sessions, and group discussions, participants learned about the legal rights of affected children and explored strategies for effective advocacy and support. Emphasis was placed on early detection, access to healthcare, and inclusive education. This initiative not only deepened community understanding of hearing health issues but also strengthened local support networks, empowering families to champion the well-being and rights of every child.
