Title: Empower yourself to make ear and hearing care a reality for all
Alternate tite:
Empower yourself to make ear and hearing care a reality for all
Description:
All Ears Hearing Center organised and created awareness on ear health, hearing loss and the importance of hearing care at the University of Cape Coast conference room. Many representatives from various hospitals in CapeCoast, attended (as letters were sent earlier to invite them). Representatives from various departments of the University of Cape Coast also attended the program were they heard alot about the ear and the statistics of hearing loss now and in the near future. Chiefs, community heads, the general public, school children and the aged also availed themselves for the program. At 8:30am, We (All Ears Hearing Center) were at Atlantic FM for the morning drive show, where we were given one hour to educated the public on the days theme, key message and the way forward. Thereafter, We came back to the University of Cape Coast’s conference room were attendees were already seated and a gave a presentation on the theme Changing Mindsets:” Empower yourself to make ear and hearing care a reality for all”. Questions asked at the end of the presentation were answered appropriately. A screening session followed the presentation and lunch served afterwards.
The next day, We were at Kapital Radio to again educate the general public on the theme. This was followed by a phone in session, where listeners called/ phoned in and asked ear related questions. These sessions were lively and very interactive.
On the third day, We (All Ears Hearing Center) sent reports to the University of Cape Coast’s hospital and the Department of Academic Affairs (they were well represented at the program) of the University of Cape coast, encouraging them to mount a program in Audiology. We are glad to tell u that, We received a letter from them on the 10th-March-2025, in which they expressed their profound gratitude to Us for inviting them to such an educative program and assuring Us that the idea of mounting Audiology is underway. HURRAAYY. We are glad to hear that. We might Someday give you the good news that it has been mounted….fingers crossed.
In summary, the 3rd, 4th and 5th of March 2025, were well spent for Us.
Thank you.

Impactful Story:
I, Sandrah Nketsiaba Saah, am sure that my efforts here at the University of Cape Coast will help fast track the mounting of the Audiology program I.e. BSc and MSc Audiology because I am organising numerous ear and hearing presentations and screenings here in Cape Coast and policy makers are asking why there are very few Audiologists in the system and have started the paper work to mount the program
I know something good will come out of this.
So mine isn’t necessarily about an individuals experience but about the University of Cape Coast and Audiology.
Thank you.
