Webinar title: “Early intervention and the power of deaf adult involvement in hearing health”
Description:
As part of DLIA’s (Deaf Leadership International Alliance) World Hearing Day 2025 initiatives, we collaborated with Singular Mind, an Iranian audiology startup, to host an international webinar titled “Early Intervention and the Power of Deaf Adult Involvement in Hearing Health.” This event emphasized the critical role of early intervention and the involvement of Deaf adults in supporting families and shaping positive outcomes for children with hearing loss.
Experts from Canada and Iran shared insights on topics including otitis media, central auditory processing disorders, cochlear implantation, and hearing aid use in infants. The webinar also highlighted Ontario’s support services for children with hearing loss and the importance of Deaf mentorship in early intervention.
This initiative aligned with DLIA’s mission to advocate for Deaf leadership in early intervention, reinforcing the value of Deaf role models in fostering inclusive and empowering family-centered care.
