Impactful Story:
One student had been listening to music through earphones for more than five hours a day at a high volume. Due to continuous exposure to loud music, the student began experiencing tinnitus. After attending an awareness program on safe listening—conducted at SDM College of Medical Sciences & Hospital on the occasion of World Hearing Day—the student learned why she was experiencing tinnitus and understood the importance of safe listening practices, such as maintaining appropriate volume levels, taking frequent breaks, and knowing when to consult an audiologist.
