Title: 3M World Hearing Celebration During the Month of March 2025
Alternate tite:
3m world hearing celebration during the month of March 2025
Description:
3M celebrated World Hearing Day throughout the month of March to raise awareness regarding the prevention of hearing loss and to help promote ear and hearing care all around the world. For 3M, World Hearing Day is an opportunity to emphasize our hearing loss prevention efforts for our own 3M colleagues. Each year, we have expanded our World Hearing Day activities and reach. In 2025, through the efforts of many 3Mers, we have reached a new level of engagement.
3Mers were encouraged to celebrate hearing throughout the month of March by participating in a variety of individual and site-wide activities designed to change mindsets about hearing loss. Communications, activities, digital board content, and resources were shared in our virtual community page titled “3M World Hearing Celebration.” Here is a summary of the suggested activities:
• E-A-Rfit™: Set up a station at your location where everyone can experience this excellent training tool.
• Wall of Sound: Encourage others to add their favorite sound to the Wall of Sound using a post-it® note.
• Hearing Protection Outside of Work: Invite others to commit to reducing noise exposure outside of work for themselves or their loved ones.
• Hearing Protection to Take Home: Consider offering hearing protection devices that participants can take home.
• Safe-in-Sound Selfie: Download the NIOSH sound level meter app and share a selfie of the noise levels measured while wearing hearing protection during an activity.
At least eighteen sites in four different countries completed activities and shared their results on the virtual community page. The campaign was successful in helping to raise awareness and celebrating the importance of hearing!
