Organization: Sensaphonics

Title: Music Industry Social Media Campaign
Alternate tite:

Music industry social media campaign

Description:

Sensaphonics is a Musicians Hearing Clinic and In-Ear Monitor Laboratory located in Chicago, USA. We ask our connections in the music industry to post to their social media accounts on World Hearing Day to help educate their fans on safe listening strategies for music settings (both live and recorded). Participants in our campaign include musicians, sound engineers, crew, music venues, record labels, and professional organizations within the industry (such as the Audio Engineer Society). The education focuses on easy-to implement tips, such as using high-fidelity hearing protection, taking listening breaks, turning down headphone/earbud levels, and getting an annual hearing test. Both Drs. Santucci and Switzer also recorded podcast episodes with various platforms to discuss World Hearing Day and the Make Listening Safe initiative.
