Title: Min-max your hearing
Alternate tite:

Min-max your hearing.

Description:

Audiology Australia (AudA) delivered a multichannel website, social media and media campaign promoting World Hearing Day (WHD) 2025, focusing on an adaptation of the WHD theme to target gamers. Our call to action and campaign – “Min-max your hearing” – co-opted video game terminology to encourage gamers to prioritise their hearing. Additional messaging celebrated the value of seeing an audiologist. Deliverables:
• A campaign landing page informing users how to “min-max your hearing”, by minimising volume spikes, minimising noises during breaks and minimising sound leakage.
• A media release, calling for gamers to minimise prolonged exposure to loud sounds.
• Expert commentary from 8 Australian audiologists about the importance of empowering clients to manage their hearing health.
• A blog post featuring 3 audiologists who enjoy video games, sharing tips about how to protect your ears while gaming.
• An article written by an audiologist about the dangers of not protecting your hearing when you game.
• A new consumer-focused webpage focusing on how to prevent and manage hearing loss.
• 19 social media posts.
• An appearance by an AudA board member on Ticker News, a worldwide media service with 180+ million monthly viewers.
• Social media sharing support from the Interactive Games & Entertainment Association – Australia and New Zealand’s peak video game industry body.
