On the occasion of World Hearing Day, dated on 30 March 2025, SHRUTI organized an interaction program on promoting rehabilitation services for children with hearing loss. with financial support from the Ministry of Women, Children and senior citizen & Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Held under the global theme “Changing Mindsets: Let’s make ear and hearing care a reality for all,” the event brought together children with hearing loss, parents, government officials, disability rights advocates, and health professionals.
SHRUTI highlighted the importance of early identification, inclusive education, and access to audiology and speech therapy, also in rehabilitation program such as early identification and intervention too. Personal stories shared by beneficiaries demonstrated the positive impact of SHRUTI’s therapy services and awareness programs. Experts and officials emphasized inter-sectoral collaboration to improve hearing care. SHRUTI reaffirmed its commitment to creating a hearing barrier-free society through advocacy, rehabilitation, and empowerment initiatives.
