Title: Paint your world: Art festival about living with hearing loss]ق
Alternate tite:

Paint your world: Art festival about living with hearing loss.

Description:

To celebrate World Hearing Day 2025, the Renas Team organized the first Art Festival for deaf and hard of hearing individuals. Aligned with the World Health Organization’s global campaign, the competition encouraged artists of all ages with hearing loss to express their experiences through drawing. Over 100 artworks were submitted, portraying both daily challenges of hearing loss and open themes. Entries were carefully evaluated in three judging rounds, with top artists receiving special recognition and prizes. All submissions, especially the five winning entries, were exhibited online on Renas’s social media for national and international audiences and displayed at the official World Hearing Day ceremony. The event generated enthusiasm and pride among participants, increased community awareness about hearing loss, and fostered greater inclusion. Inspired by its success, Renas plans to further support artists in future exhibitions, aiming to empower and highlight the talents of deaf and hard of hearing individuals.

Impactful Story:

Atousa’s Story: A Journey with Hearing Loss
Atousa was born with hearing loss. Early on, her parents realized she could not hear and pursued medical help. After hearing aids were not effective, she received a cochlear implant and—with therapy—started to speak, learn, and participate in school. Losing her father a few years ago was very difficult, but Atousa continues to find strength and strives to make her family proud. Drawing and art have helped her express her emotions and build confidence.
