Title: Awarness campaign for young high school students about ear care, particularly on hearing loss related to noise exposure
Alternate tite:

Awareness campaign for young high school students about ear care, particularly on hearing loss related to noise exposure.

Description:

we organized awareness sessions in two high schools located in Bamako to students aged 15 to 21 years.A questionnaire was previously established, consisting of 20 multiple-choice questions. It was distributed to the students of the relevant classes to assess their knowledge on the subject. Then they participated in a discussion on the theme in the form of an interactive PowerPoint presentation. At the end of the debates, the same questionnaire was distributed to evaluate the knowledge gained by the participants. Aside from the consequences of noise exposure on hearing, we discussed the main harmful sources of noise, the overall dangers of this exposure on health, the warning signs of the impact of this sound exposure, and especially the means and methods of prevention. We also talked with the young people about the issues of stigma and discrimination faced by hearing-impaired individuals. Following the questions from the young participants, we talked about good practices in ear care and encouraged them to raise awareness among those around them.
