Event Description:

Activities were scheduled over the week leading up to WHD. They included 2 radio talkshows, 4 serial TV shows and a meeting with policy leaders at the district. The purpose was to raise awareness towards causes of noise induced hearing loss and hearing preservation in high risk persons. The meeting was directed towards consideration of hearing care in the local PHC policy and acknowledgment of WHD. We conducted free hearing screening over 3 days for the general public and high risk persons for NIHL.
