Our event was held on Monday 4th. March at 9:30 am to 10:30am. All students and teachers of the school were in attendance ( approximately 190 persons) It included a talk by Ms Niobe Rodrigues on Ear Care and Hearing Loss. She also taught the students how to sign for some common words. The main attraction was the question and answer segment at the end of her presentation. The kids were really excited to win the prizes offered!
After this was concluded, we shared out pamphlets to the students, took pictures and answered questions on Ear Care and Hearing Loss. Screening is carded to take place on a date in April since most members the Trinidad and Tobago Association of the Hearing Impaired (TTATHI) were already engaged in other activities for World Hearing Day 2024 celebrations. It was indeed a learning experience and enjoyable session for all!!
