Title: World hearing Day 2023: “Ear and Hearing Care For All! Let’s make it a reality!”
Description: Hard of Hearing Group Philippines joined the World Hearing Day 2023 occasion with the theme “Ear and Hearing Care for All! Let’s Make it a reality!” sponsored by TELUS International Philippines, with free hearing screening conducted by our hearing center partner, Audibly Hearing Aid Center, and real-time captioning by TERPCAP, expression of support from the National Council on Disability Affairs, the lead coordinating agency of the Philippine government. Policymakers attended the event from government and private sector, health care providers, and the members and leaders of the local Deaf, deaf, and hard of hearing communities. In addition, Mr. Ariel Pelaez, owner of Audibly Hearing Aid Center, imparted his knowledge and expertise on hearing care and hearing loss prevention to the audience. Official WHO posters were also shared on our Facebook page and group, calling the attention of social media netizens to be aware of the event and its key messages.
