Gibraltar Hearing Loss Week and World Hearing Day 2026
Description:
We organise Gibraltar’s Hearingloss Awareness Week to coincide with World Hearing Day. Its become tradition now for the awareness week to be kicked off with our famous Moorish Castle being illuminated in silver and gold hues.
Throughout the week, daily informative content was distributed on social media platforms and traditional press media. On the 6th March we had several locations being manned by volunteers but our main information kiosk was found on Main Street with extensive WHO literature on display and made available.
Shortly after on the 10th March, an awareness talk was given to Rotary Club of Gibraltar and on the 26th March a donation of audiology equipment was made to the Gibraltar Health Authority.
On the 25th March our Chairperson Edgar Triay GA was bestowed Mayor’s Award for his leadership and dedication in raising awareness and improving services on behalf of the Gibraltar Hearing Issues and Tinnitus Association.
