World Hearing Day promotion

Description:

To support this years WHO campaign we have given talk to our local school to some 500 children aged 5-11 yers old about our ears, our hearing and the importance of looking after the ears. We are also running two competitions for the school. A colouring competition for children aged 5-7 where they can colour in a picture of the ears and a poetry competition for older children where they can write a poem about the ears and why they are important. Each competition offers 3 prizes of either a book or encyclopedia about the human body and how it works. This activity will be promoted on our website and on social media.

We are also making a donation of a local hearing charity that supports deaf children and their families, Kent Deaf Children’s Society, (kdcs.org) who we support whenever we can.
