Impactful Story:

After the event, the Ear, Nose and Throat department was successfully raising an awareness of the Bhumibol Hospital staff on the importance of hearing screening, impact of hearing loss on patients and their families and options of treatments and rehabilitation, and successfully improving the newborn hearing screening protocol of the hospital. The interdepartmental meeting helped establishing a new newborn hearing screening protocol, aiding early detection and prompt treatment, and reducing interdepartmental miscommunication. The impact extended to the Division of Preventive Medicine Directorate of Medical Services, Royal Thai Air Force, which was not included in the event in the first place.
