World Hearing Day 2026 (Free Hearing Screening)

Description:

World Hearing Day 2026 Outreach Report

In commemoration of World Hearing Day 2026, our company successfully organized a free hearing screening program in collaboration with Masson Mission Hospital. The outreach screening was conducted at Masson Mission School, where both staff members and selected students benefited from the exercise.

A total of 100 individuals were screened during the program. Following comprehensive assessments, 10 participants were identified as requiring further diagnostic evaluation and possible hearing aid intervention. These individuals were provided with appropriate referrals and professional recommendations for continued care and management.

The screening procedures included otoscopic examination (autoscopy) to inspect the ear canal and tympanic membrane, as well as ear irrigation for individuals presenting with impacted cerumen (compacted earwax), thereby improving ear hygiene and auditory function.

In addition to the clinical services provided, extensive health education sessions were conducted. Participants were educated on the importance of hearing health, the causes and early signs of hearing loss, preventive measures, and practical strategies to protect their ears from noise-induced and environmental damage. Free earplugs were distributed, and demonstrations were given on their correct usage, particularly for protection against excessive noise exposure and ear pressure changes during travel or in high-altitude environments.

Overall, the World Hearing Day 2026 initiative was highly impactful. It not only offered hope and support to individuals experiencing hearing challenges but also increased awareness and empowered many others with knowledge on hearing care and preventive safety practices. The program reaffirmed our commitment to promoting hearing health within the community and improving the quality of life for those at risk of hearing loss.
