World Hearing Day, celebrated on March 3rd, was established by the World Health Organization with the goal of raising global awareness about the prevention of hearing loss and the importance of hearing health care.
Hearing is fundamental for the development of communication, learning, social interaction, and quality of life. However, many conditions related to hearing loss can be prevented or treated when diagnosed early.
In this context, a social mobilization and awareness campaign was developed focused on valuing hearing and disseminating information about hearing health.
Objective of the Action
To promote awareness of the importance of hearing and encourage hearing health care practices through the participation of professionals and the dissemination of educational content on digital media.

• Speech-Language Pathologists
• Audiologists

• Students
• Clinical healthcare professionals
In addition, the content produced was directed to the general public through social media and digital platforms.
Activity Description
For the campaign, participants were invited to create impactful phrases and brief reflections on the importance of hearing in human life.
Each participant recorded short videos addressing topics related to hearing health, prevention of hearing loss, and the value of hearing in daily life.
The videos were subsequently shared on digital platforms and social networks, expanding the campaign’s reach. Among the means used for dissemination were:
• WhatsApp
• Instagram
• Facebook

To strengthen the campaign’s message, some of the testimonials received were selected and organized into a more comprehensive institutional video, bringing together different professional perspectives on the importance of hearing.

• sharing short videos on social media;
• disseminating content in professional and academic groups;
• dissemination on digital social communication platforms.
These strategies enabled greater engagement and participation from different professionals and community members.
